This is a small update to Dark Age that adds new quests,dialogues,models and grass to terrain. I have also fixed a few issues that might crash the game in some cases. The game is still not balanced so it might be too hard/easy depending on how you play.

Wow it has been exactly two months since the last release.I was busy with other stuff the past two months so I couldn't really work on Dark Age as much as I wanted but there is still lots of new stuff in this release.
The biggest change is the way you get quests from NPCs.There is a new dialogue system which lets you get quests,start trading or training.You can interact with NPCs by just left clicking on them.The dialogues are created by the world editor with a small C# application and saved to plain text files.
Another change is related to entity orientations.Before this release entities could only have a yaw which means you could only rotate them around the Y axis.Now they have pitch and roll too so they can be oriented in every direction.
I have added ranged attacks to NPCs and also trails to projectiles so they are more visible.

The new release is ready after another busy month.This release contains lots of new features,improvements and fixes.I have found a couple of bugs that would crash the game or editor in certain circumstances,hopefully they are fixed now.
The game has locked doors now which require the correct key to open or a lock pick item that can be bought from the merchants.When you click a door if you already have the right key it will automatically unlock.If you don't have the right key you can try taking a lock pick from your inventory and clicking on the door to unlock it.Your chance to pick a door is based on your lock pick skill.Door can also be opened by levers that can be found inside the dungeons.
There is a single type of trap included in the game.It is very simple and damages you if you get in it.There are other important features like inventory item stacking,smoke particle systems,new sounds,new tree model,different terrain grass texture.

At last a new release after 6 months.This release contains lots of stuff so I will just post the change log.I have added the first skills to the game.There are 9 skills in total but two of them are not working at the moment.Lock picking is not working as doors can't be locked at the moment.This is will be enabled in the next release.Also detect traps skill is not working as traps are not in the game yet.

I have moved the pages related to Dark Age to its own place.They become visible when you click Dark Age on the menu on the left side.This makes everything related to Dark Age accessible from one place.
I am working on the next release,there isn't much left to do only a couple of things then I will do some testing to make sure there isn't anything left that makes the game unplayable.Hopefully the next release will be up by the end of the month if I don't get distracted by other stuff (games lol).
I have finished Torchlight and now I am working on Risen.
Not much was going on lately so the site was quite for some time.We moved to Toronto and we were quite busy for the last two months but things are getting back to normal.I have added outlining to items and units in Dark Age.When you move your mouse over a unit or item that can be picked up it is outlined.I also updated the site to Drupal 6.14.Drupal 7.0 is coming soon so I might switch to that when it arrives though I have no idea if upgrading will be easy from 6 to 7.
I also bought a new 24" monitor which is a great improvement over the 15" laptop :).I plugged the monitor to the laptop through DVI and worked out of the box.
I am also working on a OpenGL 3.2 application framework which is just a toy project at the moment.It is open source and hosted at sourceforge.Here is the link : glBase. I started it as a 2d space shooter game and then decided to make it a simple framework for OpenGL3.2 applications.Currently it just creates a win32 window and opengl3.2 context and supports fullscreen toggling with F1.Most of the code is plugged out of Dark Age so there are lots of parts to clean up but I'm working on it.
